Your Privacy Matters

Introduction

Cutform ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered podcast retention editing platform. As an optional feature, users who wish to can also connect third-party social media accounts (such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook Pages, or Instagram Business accounts) to publish their generated clips directly from Cutform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.

By accessing or using Cutform, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not access or use our services.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up for Cutform, we collect your name and email address to create and manage your account.

Uploaded content. We collect the podcast audio and video files you upload for processing through our AI editing tools.

Usage data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with our service, including pages viewed, features used, session duration, and referring URLs.

Device and browser data. We collect your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers to provide and optimize our service.

Connected social account data. When you choose to connect a third-party social account (LinkedIn, YouTube/Google, Facebook, or Instagram) to Cutform, we receive and store OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, and basic profile identifiers needed to publish content on your behalf. Depending on the platform this may include your user ID, name, email, profile picture, Facebook Page IDs and Page access tokens, Instagram Business account IDs, YouTube channel ID, and metadata about content you publish through Cutform. We request only the minimum scopes required to perform the actions you authorize (for example, w_member_social for LinkedIn; youtube.upload and youtube for YouTube; pages_manage_posts, pages_read_engagement, pages_show_list, instagram_basic, and instagram_content_publish for Meta).

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our services
  • Process your uploaded podcast content using our AI editing tools
  • Publish clips and posts to your connected social media accounts (LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook Pages, Instagram Business) strictly when and as you direct
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and promotional offers
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve and develop new features
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations

How We Process Your Content

When you upload podcast audio or video files, our AI analyzes the content to identify the most engaging segments and generate retention-optimized clips. Your files are processed on secure servers and are not shared with third parties for their own purposes.

We do not sell your content. Your podcast files and generated clips remain yours. We only process them to deliver the service you requested.

Uploaded files and generated clips are retained in your account until you delete them or close your account. See the Data Retention section for details.

Connected Social Accounts

Cutform lets you connect third-party social media accounts so you can publish clips directly from our platform. Connecting an account is always optional and you can disconnect at any time. This section describes how we handle data from each integration.

YouTube API Services & Google user data. Cutform's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only request the YouTube scopes needed to upload and manage videos you explicitly ask us to publish (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube).
  • We use Google user data solely to provide and improve user-facing features that are prominent in the Cutform interface (uploading your generated clips to your YouTube channel on your behalf).
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve these user-facing features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger/acquisition with appropriate notice.
  • We do not use Google user data to train generalized or third-party AI/ML models.
  • Humans do not read Google user data unless we have your explicit consent, it is required for security (e.g., investigating abuse), to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

Your use of YouTube features through Cutform is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Cutform's access to your Google/YouTube account at any time via https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Meta Platform data (Facebook & Instagram). When you connect a Facebook or Instagram account, Cutform uses Meta Platform data only to display your connected Pages and Instagram Business accounts inside Cutform and to publish content you schedule. We do not sell Meta Platform data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with third parties except service providers strictly necessary to operate the Service. Our use of Meta Platform data complies with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. You can revoke Cutform's access at any time via Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites, or from your Instagram account settings.

LinkedIn. When you connect a LinkedIn account, Cutform uses LinkedIn OAuth tokens and basic profile information solely to publish content you authorize via the w_member_social scope. Our use of LinkedIn data complies with the LinkedIn API Terms of Use. You can revoke access from your LinkedIn account at Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services.

Retention & deletion of connected-account data. OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, and cached profile/channel/page metadata are retained only for as long as your connection is active. When you disconnect a platform, delete your Cutform account, or revoke access from the platform itself, we delete the associated tokens and profile data from our active systems within 30 days. Cookies & Tracking

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies, Required for the service to function properly, such as session management and authentication.
  • Analytics cookies, Help us understand how visitors interact with our website and service so we can improve the experience.
  • Preference cookies, Remember your settings and preferences for future visits.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit your ability to use some features of our service.

Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We work with trusted third-party processors who assist in operating our service (hosting, analytics, email delivery). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Legal obligations. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
  • With your consent. We may share information with third parties when you have given us explicit permission to do so.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, you can request data deletion by emailing us at [email protected].

Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as anonymized analytics).

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

  • Right of access. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification. You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure. You can request that we delete your personal data.
  • Right to data portability. You can request a machine-readable copy of your data.
  • Right to restrict processing. You can ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • Right to object. You can object to our processing of your data for certain purposes.

Your Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act grants you the following rights:

  • Right to know. You can request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete. You can request that we delete your personal information.
  • Right to opt out. You can opt out of the sale of your personal information. Note: we do not sell personal information.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Access controls that limit data access to authorized personnel
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring
  • Incident response procedures to address potential breaches promptly

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission where applicable.

Children's Privacy

Cutform is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Effective" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
